Indigo Ikat Blanket
Indigo Ikat Blanket
Ikat textiles from West Africa are uncommon, and most existing pieces come from the town of Igarra, Nigeria. They were made by the Yoruba people who wore these as body wraps. This piece is strip woven - each strip centers a stripe with a staggered ikat design, bordered by indigo stripes.

Keep in mind ...
Our vintage and antique pieces have traveled throughout the world and survived decades - maybe even centuries - of use. Do not expect them to be in perfect or *new* condition. Signs of their past makers and owners may be noticeable such as small holes, loose threads, & stains. In our opinion, this adds to their charm!
