The Gujarat region is largely known as the main home of silk and Indian brocade weaving. Motifs, small in scale, of flowers, animals, and human figures are set in regular rows against a solid ground.

These two brocade fragments are sold separately and are attached to a light green backing. There are rows of gold in between rows containing green leaves. In these rows there are gold leaves with two red dots at the base of the leaf. These rows are outlined with two lines in red on both sides.

Keep in mind ...

Our vintage and antique pieces have traveled throughout the world and survived decades - maybe even centuries - of use. Do not expect them to be in perfect or *new* condition. Signs of their past makers and owners may be noticeable such as small holes, loose threads, & stains. In our opinion, this adds to their charm!
