Embroidered Linen Shawl
Embroidered Linen Shawl
We're still researching the origins of this piece, but it is too stunning to not be shared. This piece has a soft linen ground which is hemmed in a scalloped shape on both short ends, and finished with cotton knotted fringe. There is identical embroidery on both short ends - it is mostly florals and ornamental leaves, with birds in the center of each arrangement. The polychromatic embroidery is done in mostly cotton, but the yellow gold is silk which adds dimension.

Keep in mind ...
Our vintage and antique pieces have traveled throughout the world and survived decades - maybe even centuries - of use. Do not expect them to be in perfect or *new* condition. Signs of their past makers and owners may be noticeable such as small holes, loose threads, & stains. In our opinion, this adds to their charm!
