West African Tunic
While we aren’t quite sure where this tunic is from, we believe it is from West Africa – either the Bamum people of Cameroon, or the Yoruba people of Nigeria. The tunic is made of cotton and is stamped using a block-printing method. The field consists of mostly stars and circles, while the borders use the same colors to create geometric patterns. The colors used are red, blue, and green, and the bottom is a knotted fringe.
