Waziri Shawl
Waziristan is in the Northeast province of Pakistan, a remote and tribal area bordering Afghanistan. The local weaving tradition combines silk and cotton in striped designs. The supportive ground is usually dark indigo cotton while the silk provides the bright accents. Sometimes there is also some embroidery. Originally Waziri shawls are worn by men.
