Full length vests or sleeveless coats were popular outer garments with Manchu women. Chinese women preferred shorter versions, but both wore waist length vests over full length robes , or in combination with skirts. The decoration is almost always of auspicious symbols.Full length sleeveless garment with front overflap closing to the right, fastened with one gilt metal and loop toggle button.The brocading pattern of blooms is enhanced with auspicious symbols worked in discontinuous metallic thread supplementary weave. Lined with blue cotton tabby.
