Uncut Sleeve Bands

A delicate pair of sleeve bands done in satin stitched polychrome silk sits on blue silk, in its original condition before it would have been cut in two to be applied to the sleeve endings. When sewn on, the design would be centered on the back of the sleeve so it could be seen when the wearer’s hands are clasped in front of them. The design consists of  flowers, plants, cranes, and butterflies all embroidered with polychrome silk in very high quality satin stitch technique.
