Turban Cover
Large gauze linen panel divided into three concentric area- small circle in the center surrounded by another circle and all against a square field. All decorated with sprays of roses, tulips, and pomegranates. All embroidered within narrow borders. The stitchwork is done with polychrome silk and metallic thread. It is a very refined work that indicates that it had been made professionally in a workshop and not in a home.
Turban covers are always squares of average 60cm but differentiate from other covers (bocchas) because of the small inner circle.
