Tapestry Hat
Turban composed of tapestry and silk velvet panels. The silk velvet panels are used to stabilize the long silk panel that gets draped around the bottom of this type of turban when worn. The tapestry panels provide the floral decoration. Slit joint tapestry is a weft faced plain weave with discontinuous weft structure. The weft yarns interlace in their respective color areas and turn around at adjacent warp yarns, leaving an opening, or a slit, in between, similar to the kilim weaving technique.
