Silk and Fiber Songket
Songket of a rather complicated structure.The fabric is woven from a silk weft and fiber warp. The silk weft is tie-dyed in the ikat technique.The center field is a large rectangle of muted brown and green zoomorphic forms. The shorter borders are further embellished with supplementary discontinuous metallic weave.
