Saddle Bag
Saddle bags were typically used by nomadic peoples during their travels on the backs of horses, mules, or camels. Large pockets sit on both sides and would be draped over the body of the animal they were riding.
This piece is skillfully woven out of cotton with red, blue, yellow, and green stripes. The top of the pockets are decorated with polychromatic embroidery in triangular motifs and various borders. Four tassels hang from the pockets and can also be used to tighten them.
