Ramallah Embroidered Fragment
Large fragment of a Ramallah shawl. Still made of two panels that were sewn lengthwise but now cut widthwise. White linen with polychrome embroidery of coiled silk thread in cross stitch. Still with two narrow long borders and one wide short border worked with s-shape and zigzag tall palm motifs. The center field divided with a crossing lines into squares with more design elements, both traditional and later European influenced .
