Rajastani Wooden Pedestal

This Rajastani wooden pedestal was made in India in the early 20th century. The wood is carved in high relief with a variety of vegetal forms. It was originally part of a column that belonged in a colonnade of a Haveli, a type of multi-story mansion built around a courtyard.
