Pair of Ceremonial Fans
Pair of ceremonial fans made of palm fronds. The uneven edges were trimmed and bordered with celluloid, mica and metallic wire. Front and back are painted with Hindu mythological characters including Ganesha, Hanuman, Kartikeya and others, all alternating with stylized lotus flowers.Curious objects and due to frailty not too many of which survived.
