Mexican Milagros

Milagro, “miracle or promise” in Spanish. The tradition started in ancient Greece  and was filtered from the Mediterranean world and European Catholicism to the new world. Usually bought in anticipation of good things happening, good luck charms, and or a healing.  This charming pair could very well indicate a marriage or an  anticipated promise.
