Large Kosu Panel

Large hanging of very high quality kosu weave. Kosu weave is very labor intensive form of weave where shuttles of different color threads are used to make the design in blocks. Changing colors produces a fine split in the weave.In this hanging the turquoise field is filled with three rows of vines with chrysanthemums in bloom. The flowers colors alternate between polychrome silk and gold wrapped thread. Inner border of dragons and pearl of wisdom motif and outer border with fret motif. No painted details.
