Fez Sash
Belts, like this one, are some of the most recognizable products made by Fez weavers. Fez has long been a center of Moroccan craft production, with weavers being an important part of that community as early as the 14th century. Around the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Western travelers to Fez became enamored with this type of belt and made a point of collecting them. These sashes usually have two to four different patterns but are worn with only one showing, so a single belt can look vastly different depending on how the wearer ties it.
