Embroidered Fragment
A fragment of joined panels, featuring rows of silk embroidery on a beige striped silk ground. The motif consists of alternating floral scrolls and single flowers, chain-stitched in green, red and yellow thread. The method by which this textile was pieced suggests that it was originally a tailored garment, possibly an anteri-style robe.
