Dida Cloth
The Dida tribe of Ivory Coast make ceremonial skirt out of hemp. Strands of fiber are woven together in a unique and complicated method into seamless tubular skirts. Skirts are then tye-dyed into fields densely packed with groups of circles, ovals, rectangles and dots in warm earth tones.
