Bamboo Vest
Bamboo vests are not only beautiful and detailed, they fulfilled the function of being worn under silk garments to help with air circulation and prevent perspiration stains. The use of bamboo jackets and vests dates back to the Ming dynasty.
Bamboo tubes are threaded together with cotton string to create a diamond pattern over the entire vest. The edges are finished with black silk, and tied at the center with pale blue silk.
