Bamboo Vest
A vest made of tiny tubular bamboo beads strung together to form a net-like structure, the edges are finished with pale blue silk.
The use of bamboo jackets and vests dates back to the Ming dynasty. They were worn under silk garments to aid air circulation, which helped to protect the silk outer garment from perspiration stains during the summer’s hot weather.
