Armenian Embroidery
The so called Armenian embroideries are easily identifiable: coarse, indigo dyed cotton foundation worked with coiled silk in mostly uncounted cross stitching. The design is often ” ruggy” with center medallions and multiple borders. The origin of these embroideries is still debated and could possibly be Indian.
