Oya Lace
The tradition of creating and wearing Oya (lace) goes back to the 8th century in various Mediterranean countries, but is typically associated with Turkey. Oya is used to decorate the edges of clothing and household textiles, and in recent years it is used to create jewelry. The motifs are usually floral.
These 20 intricate polychromatic fan shapes are sewn on to a black ribbon.
