Huipil
Huipil is the most characteristic and cherished article of a Mexican Indian womans costume. It is comprised of few panels, three in this case, that are made separately on a backstrap loom and sewn together. The design of this huipil is typically complex and the weaving quality typically expert. Design elements are multiple and include zoomorphic and gometric elements contained within rectangles.
