Embroidered Purse

A woman’s purse made in Turkey for export to Western Europe. The velvet ground is decorated with florals using couched metallic embroidery, three metallic tassels and appliquéd green, red, and blue wool. The inside is lined with green silk, and it can be pulled closed using the gold silk string.
