It is the only region in west Africa with climate suitable for rearing sheep.Fulani blankets are made of sheep wool, woven on a narrow loom and then sewn together lengthwise selvedge to selvedge. This Fulani blanket ahs a minimal quality compare to typical work with busy patterns done in supplementary weave.
