Whitework Panel
White work was produced across the Islamic work. It is easily distinguished from European white work but it is more difficult to differentiate between the sources within the Islamic world. Islamic white work is done on cotton ground with the work done in silk. The needlework here is done in chain stitches and pulled work where counted threads are pulled together and wrapped.
