Naga Hair Pin
Ornaments such as necklaces, earrings, headpieces, and belts are more than just decorations in Naga culture. They identify the wearer and the group they are from, and express their status. This hair pin is made of a bone from the mithun, an ox-like animal indigenous to Nagaland. It would be worn by men to secure a bun at the back of their head. It is carved with important symbols and adorned with red animal hair.
