Brocade Dragon Robe
Manchu man’s semiformal court coat (chi-fu). A full-length garment with front overlap closing to the right. It is fastened with five loop and gilt metal ball toggle buttons — tapered sleeves ending with flared cuffs, front and back vents. The decoration is done in gold brocade and featuring terrestrial diagrams, nine dragons, and scattered schemes, including cranes, bats, fish, and Buddhist elements.
