Kashmiri Wall Hanging
Judging by the size this is a reduced shawl. By its shape and construction, it was adapted into a wall hanging. Panel comprised of three large fragments sewn together. Rows of botehs, all facing the same direction and interspersed with stylized flowers against a blue ground. Within a doublr border and lined with red wool. All the work is done in the labour intensive method of double interlocking twill tapestry. Signed at bottom.
