Persian Needlework Panel (nakeche)
Embroidered rectangle that with another would comprise a pair of trouser cuffs. The design is of diagonal bands containing dense floral motifs reminiscent of Persian rug ornamentation.The embroidery is done in polychrome colied silk worked in counted satin stitch. Very beautiful vegetable dyes.
