Printed Cotton Template for Stuffed Dolls
The vintage printed and glazed cotton with a repeating pattern of Charlie Chaplin as well as various doll images dressed in period fashion. It was made to be separated, sewn, and stuffed. The Chaplin image captures the iconic “tramp ” for which Charlie Chaplin became world-famous. By 1916 Chaplin was a global phenomenon that was heavily promoted via products such as these dolls.

Condition: Fair, the highly corrosive black dye has caused shattering to black areas, mostly around Charley Chaplin's hat.The whole panel is backed with gauze and stabilized.
