Dida Ceremonial Skirt
The Dida tribe of Ivory Coast are traditionally fishermen.For ceremonial occasions they plait strands of fiber into loincloths, tubular skirts,, mantles and kerchiefs. These then get tie-dyed with fields of densely packed circles, ovals, rectangles and dots, all executed in warm earth tones.
